Richard MM1BHO and Malc M0MKC...Raynet TOGs (by popular demand)

The event is organised by a company called No Fuss Events based in Fort William. The day started with a briefing from the organisers regarding safety and welfare with the emphasis on everyone enjoying the day. We were maning six checkpoints in total three of those were also maned with EFAR medics.

There was in total approximately 400 competitors with several classes including singles, teams, single vets, female singles and teams and any permutation you care to come up with. As far as we are aware only two riders need hospital treatment, one for a badly gashed leg and the other a dislocated little (pinky) finger. There was of course the usual cuts, bruises, sprains and gravel rash incidents which is to be expected.

On the way

The event ran from 09:30 Hrs to 19:30 when the last rider was allowed to start, they had to be back at the control for 20:30 Hrs to qualify the lap. You should be able to check the results on the No Fuss website. We managed to get every one stood down for about 20:15 Hrs and then it was off to Newton Stewart to the Chinese takeaway for food which was devoured back at the campsit at Richard MM1BHO and Derek 2M0OVD's caravans. After the presentations there was a live band (The Dangleberries) and a BBQ as well as a bar. Were looking forward to working with this group in the future.
